Commander is often at its best when chaos reigns. It’s even better when you’re at the centre of that chaos, and ideally, the one directing it as you see fit.

While there are plenty of cool commanders to use to achieve this, we’re absolutely enamored with a new big boar spirit, and here’s why we think you should check them out.

Meet your commander

Kaima, the Fractured Calm Kaima, the Fractured Calm Kaima, the Fractured Calm At the beginning of your end step, goad each creature your opponents control that's enchanted by an Aura you control. Put a +1/+1 counter on Kaima for each creature goaded this way. (Until your next turn, the goaded creatures attack each combat if able and attack a player other than you if able.) is a four-mana red and green 3/3 that reads, “At the beginning of your end step, goad each creature your opponents control that’s enchanted by an Aura you control. Put a +1/+1 counter on Kaima, the Fractured Calm for each creature goaded this way.” Goading is a great mechanic, and it means that those creatures have to attack someone until your next turn, and it can’t be you.

Goading is a great way to keep games going a little bit faster, and it’s also a way to provoke people into fighting each other. It’s the kind of mechanic that favors your massively if you can make sure you’re also not worth attacking when they’re not goaded, or if you can encourage people to hit the other players instead of you to their benefit too.

As Kaima is all about aura cards, let’s dive into the best auras for this commander, and then the best support cards too.
