With Unfinity’s spoiler season well underway, Magic is looking weirder than ever. With Clowns, Robots, and Acorn cards aplenty, MTG’s latest Un-set looks like a true carnival of fun. While there is plenty to look forward to, excitement about the dramatic changes being made to Magic isn’t universal. Instead, many players have already voiced their […]
One of MTG’s Most Requested Characters is Here, and It’s Busted
Unfinity seems like a Dice-rolling Commander player’s dream. Many new cards are coming out with unique ideas that support archetypes that most of the casual MTG community has been pushing for a long time. One of these characters seemingly emerged from a Blogatog discussion regarding everyone’s wish for a Planeswalking Dog. Well, Comet, Stellar Pup […]
MTG Unfinity Introduces New Eternal Legal Card AND Deck Type!
MTG players sometimes write off the Un-sets because they do not affect real MTG play. Besides beautiful full-art lands that go for quite a price tag, players adored the wacky draft format that Un-sets create, but that’s as far as it went. Unfinity, as many MTG players now know, is a bit different. Some of […]
Eternal Legal Unfinity MTG Card Adds Bizarre Battlefield Minigame
Leading into the spoiler season for the next MTG set, Unfinity, many players were skeptical, to say the least. Thanks to the introduction of Acorn cards, an Un-set’s cards could be Eternal legal for the first time ever. This prospect was understandably concerning to some because of how ludicrous and overpowered past Un-set cards have […]
Wizards of the Coast Admits to Increased Production Errors
Throughout the Trading Card Game and wider collectibles industry, misprints can often be something that’s worth getting excited about. As a defect that’s far rarer than even the most elusive foil, misprints can mean big money for savvy collectors. However, that is only if misprints are as rare as you would hope for them to […]

Throughout Magic: the Gathering’s almost 30-year history, players and Planeswalkers alike have been all over Magic’s seemingly endless multiverse. In the past year alone, MTG has been to the demon-filled 1920s, the neon-soaked future, and even a wedding! Next month, Magic: the Gathering will even be going to space in Unfinity. Despite the nearly limitless […]
Overpowered EDH Mechanic Bans Cards in MTG Competitive Play
A few days ago, Wizards of the Coast employee Gavin Verhey announced that there would be a ban list update on Monday. This update only applies to one format in particular: Pauper. While the bans, as a result, will not impact the majority of the MTG community, the story behind these bannings is rather interesting. […]
MTG Will Be Getting Folding Triple-Faced Cards
Having been around since 1993, Magic: the Gathering has innovated a lot over its almost 30-year history. With new mechanics being introduced in each new set, MTG’s growing complexity isn’t slowing down any time soon. In fact, MTG’s complexity creep may even be accelerating thanks to just how many products Wizards releases each year. Wizards […]
