This week, Wizards of the Coast made an announcement that shook up the market, causing multiple price spikes. In addition, several new Kamigawa cards are picking up in popularity and price.

By far, the biggest winner of this week was Seasoned Pyromancer which jumped from about $25.00 to $45.00.

in Modern. This banning has many financial implications since decks are no longer incentivized to only play cards with mana values two or less. This frees up deck-building decisions to include cards like Seasoned Pyromancer now.

The Wandering Emperor
Earlier in the week, The Wandering Emperor jumped from $11.00 to $16.00. But since then, the card only got more expensive. At the time of writing, she is about $24.00!

March of Otherworldly Light
Here’s another Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card that shot up in price this week. A few weeks ago, March of Otherworldly Light was less than $2.00. The price doubled earlier in the week and has since risen to about $7.00.
March of Otherworldly Light is, in my opinion, the best removal spell from Neon Dynasty. And players are beginning to experiment with the card in multiple formats including Modern.

Ranger-Captain of Eos
From $14.00 to $25.00, Ranger-Captain of Eos is another card that went up in value this week now that

, there’s one card I expect to go down. Mishra’s Bauble synergized with the Cat companion, as you could recast it for free every turn to draw an extra card.
Mishra’s Bauble will still see play in Modern as it is extremely good in combination with

Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, surveil 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put that card into your graveyard.)
Delirium — As long as there are four or more card types among cards in your graveyard, this creature gets +2/+2, has flying, and attacks each combat if able.

Affinity for artifacts (This spell costs {1} less to cast for each artifact you control.)
When Emry enters, mill four cards.
{T}: Choose target artifact card in your graveyard. You may cast that card this turn. (You still pay its costs. Timing rules still apply.)
. But because its most commonly used application is no longer legal in Modern, Mishra’s Bauble should go down in price.
