As MTG Arena continues to grow in popularity, Wizards of the Coast seems determined to blur the lines between the physical game and the digital. We’ve long had the ability to redeem physical Starter and Prerelease Kits on Arena, but recently, things have been expanding. Continuing a recent trend, if you play real-world Limited during June 2024, you can pick up some nice Arena promos for the trouble.

The June 2024 Limited Promos
From June 14th to July 14th, taking part in Limited events at a WPN store will earn you rewards on MTG Arena. To get these rewards, you will need to link your MTG Arena account and your Wizards account to be able to claim them. For taking part in one Limited event, you’ll get yourself the Retro Frame card style for

When you cast this spell, up to two target players each manifest two cards from their hands. For each card manifested this way, you draw a card. (To manifest a card, put it onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature. Turn it face up any time for its mana cost if it's a creature card.)
Other colorless creatures you control get +3/+2.
. Not everyone is big on the Retro Frame, but it’s a nice alternate look for a powerful new card nonetheless.
The fun doesn’t stop there as if you take part in two Limited events in this time frame, you’ll also earn a new card sleeve. As you can see above, this sleeve features art from the Deathtouch-sporting Wurm token left behind by

When this creature dies, create a 3/3 colorless Phyrexian Wurm artifact creature token with deathtouch and a 3/3 colorless Phyrexian Wurm artifact creature token with lifelink.
. This is a nice Raymond Swanland piece and will pair nicely with any kind of artifact deck. Alternatively, Bant Toxic is always an option if you’re not in the mood to make friends.
Finally, if you take part in three Limited events during the event, you’ll be able to claim a Draft Token. This allows you to take part in any Draft event on MTG Arena free of charge, Premier Drafts included. This is a very nice reward and will give you access to a bunch of new cards and a great Draft experience. All of these rewards will be delivered directly to your MTG Arena inbox, provided your accounts are linked up correctly.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a promotion like this. In fact, just last month a near-identical promotion was held. That one also gave out a Card Style, Sleeves, and a Draft Token, in exchange for the same number of Limited events played.

A Jam-Packed Calendar
These June 2024 Limited Promos aren’t the only exciting thing on the horizon for MTG at the moment. In the post announcing these promos, Wizards also laid out their plans for organized events throughout the rest of the year.
First up, there’s MagicCon: Amsterdam, also featuring Pro Tour Modern Horizons 3. This will be held from June 28th to 30th and will feature the usual lineup of events, vendors, and general Magic fun. Notably, the event will play host to a multi-day Modern Open, with a total prize pool of $75,000. This is a great way to get some Modern gameplay in if you didn’t make the cut for the Pro Tour.
If you’re one of the lucky few who did, then you’ll be playing both Modern Horizons 3 Limited and Modern Constructed all weekend in hopes of claiming a portion of the $500,000 prize pool. In addition, all participants will get their hands on a stunning

Beyond the Pro Tour, there will also be two separate rounds of Modern RCQs this year. The first will begin with the release of Modern Horizons 3 this month, while the second will run from August 3rd to November 3rd. Taking part in these events can earn you a Pro Tour invite, as well as some truly stunning promo cards.
Finally, there’s a wide range of CommandFest events happening this year too, including some freshly announced ones in August onwards. Check out Wizards’ post for the full details. The rest of 2024 is looking to be a busy time for Magic, and a great stretch for fans of big events and promos.
