Whenever a non-Human creature you control attacks, look at the top six cards of your library. You may put a Human creature card from among them onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. It gains indestructible until end of turn. Put the rest of the cards on the bottom of your library in a random order.

Sometimes card prices spike overnight, and when they do, I report on them. But there are other Pioneer cards that have gradually risen in value with overall substantial gains which I will cover in this article.
Shark Typhoon
A month ago, I wrote about Shark Typhoon in one of my weekly newsletters. It was $10.00 at the time but I suspected its price would rise due to the card’s prevalence in Pioneer. Now, Shark Typhoon is about $15.00-$17.00.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
Last week, Cavalier of Thorns spiked in price when Mono-Green Ramp won a Pioneer Challenge. The hype for the deck carried over to this week, as the price for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, began trending upwards from $30.00 to $33.00.

Emrakul, the Promised End
A month ago, Emrakul was about $42.00. Now, Emrakul is between $46.00 and $53.00.
One copy of the card is sometimes played as a top-of-the-curve threat in a few midrange Pioneer decks such as the aforementioned Mono-Green Ramp deck and Selesnya Midrange.
Emrakul is also a good sideboard card in both Pioneer and Modern against control decks. Her ability to take an opponent’s turn is a cast trigger, which is extremely difficult for control decks to counter.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance
Chandra is on the rise. Both the regular art and Signature Spellbook versions were $7.00 a month ago. But today, they are approaching $9.00.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance, is seeing an increase in Pioneer play. Rakdos Midrange and Big Red decks play 2-3 copies of Chandra in the mainboard. And Mono-Red Aggro and Izzet Phoenix play 1-2 copies of her in their sideboards.
